Hello! 


I’m a creative strategist, copywriter, and the co-founder of Language Arts, an independent branding studio. I help start-ups and established brands sound more like themselves, and less like everyone else. I love working with founders, design teams, and other copywriters/strategists to find the best way for a brand to express itself, be that with the right tone & voice, name, brand guidebook, campaign, social post, or even email. 

While I didn’t take the classic route into branding, my experience has given me the ability to work in any environment and come up with ideas others might not see, with clients from around the world. My pre-advertising experience includes in-depth research for Academy Award-winning costume designer Ann Roth on To Kill a Mockingbird, The Prom, and other broadway productions; costume continuity on HBO’s The Deuce, Manifest, and Spielberg’s West Side Story; mental health counseling with inpatient teenagers; and copyediting for an international trade law firm. 

I have a genuine curiosity and interest in people and how things work. When I’m not working I’m usually reading, spending time with Bean (my senior dog, pictured left), learning a new language (I’m fluent in French & Spanish), learning a new skill (hello, pasta making!), or redesigning my apartment.

  •       Ourside is a Black-owned, earth-friendly, small-batch fragrance brand. Their award-winning scents are based in emotion and memory to reawaken the senses.I collaborated with SOME DAYS to name the brand, craft tone & voice, and write key messaging.
